1. Operational & Financial Terms
Before proceeding to formal quotations and development with our manufacturing facilities, all projects operate under our standard production terms:
Development Fees: Costs depend on style complexity and include prototyping, pattern making, fabric sourcing, and technical quality control.
Prints & Embroideries: Additional initial setup costs apply for local and digital prints, all-overs, and embroideries.
Sample Cost: Charged at 2x (double) the production price.
Payment Terms: 50% Advance / 50% Before Shipping (applies to both development and bulk production).
Shipping: Ex-Works (Client manages and pays shipping, duties, and insurance).
Adjustments: Can only be made prior to placing the final production order.
2. Platform Use & Communications
Sustainable Makers is 100% free to use with zero platform, commission, or transaction fees. By using this service, submitting inquiries, or communicating with our AI Assistant, you acknowledge and agree that conversations, inquiries, and messages may be accessed, monitored, and reviewed by our team and production specialists in real time. This ensures quality of service, allows our team to provide active support and quotation assistance, and helps seamlessly connect you with the right Portuguese manufacturing partner.
3. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
Your designs, tech packs, patterns, and brand assets remain 100% your intellectual property. Sustainable Makers and our verified partner factories strictly safeguard all shared specifications and communications under commercial confidentiality standards.
