The Salvi Earth - a business about love and sustainability

Salvi Earth was created to promote the vibrant and unique artisan culture of El Salvador, all while helping to improve our environment and the communities of their artisans.

Each piece in their collection, from simple totes to resort pieces and accessories, is handcrafted by Salvadorian artisans with everyday use in mind. The purchase of these accessories directly helps build the local economies and communities of the artisan they trade with. Environmentally, given each item is handwoven out of 100% recycled plastic, every accessory in their collection directly helps reduce the amount of plastic in environment. Sustainability, fair trade, and practicality are at the core of the Salvi Earth brand.

Acting as a responsible global citizen is a guiding principle in how  built their brand. They invite the consumers to explore the efforts they're taking to promote social responsibility through our sustainability efforts, trade agreements and charitable, philanthropic relationships. They hope that you enjoy the beauty and practicality of their pieces, and the positive social impact they’re making on the world.

Social Responsibility

The promotion of sustainability, building local economies through fair trade, and bettering our planet are the guiding principles of everything what Salvi Earth do. From the very items they sell, to the packaging they sell them in, to the organizations that they support, these principles are the foundations of Salvi Earth.
At the heart of this business is handwoven bags and accessories. The Salvi Earth bags are crafted with 100% recycled plastic. Everything from plastic water bottles to take-out containers are repurposed into a permanent home.

Many of the items that they sell contain over 30 single-use water bottles worth of recycled plastic, plastic that could otherwise end up in our oceans, lakes, and wetlands.

Fair and Ethical Trade

Every artisan that they work with independently manages their own businesses locally in El Salvador. Each accessory they order is purchased at the local trade price set up by their artisans. This helps ensure that their local businesses thrive economically and indirectly supports the community and economy they live in. We avoid agreements that structure compensation on an hourly basis, and instead focus on all-encompassing agreements that ensure all involved are compensated fairly for the time they put into creating their beautiful and unique accessories.
